Zook Exterior

We collaborated with progressive landscape architects Terremoto on an entertaining pergola including an outdoor kitchen and dining area overlooking the pool and mountain views beyond. We worked closely with them site-wide to capitalize on all possible indoor-outdoor connections.

We selected outdoor furnishings that had elemental geometry and a sculptural quality.  We worked with some of my favorite furniture fabricators to customize pieces for this special site: Croft House, James Perse, DWR and Sutherland. For upholstery throughout we chose a shade close to black with a lot of texture to mask wear and hold up to the elements. We had all the furniture frames powder coated black to complement the beautiful long-span pergola structure.
